With a population of 1,600,000, Tabriz is located in the valley of
Mount Sahand. Tabriz is less than 100 miles from Iran – Turkey and
also from the Iran – Azarbijan border. The town has a long and checkered
history and is believed to have been around before 224 AD.
Tabriz has been the capital of Azarbijan and a few times in history,
it had been the capital of Iran. Even though, this city has seen
several war in its long history, still it is one the most fascinating cities
in the Middle East.
